A call to all pregnant or once pregnant women! My daughter and I are looking for anecdotes, phrases, expressions, superstitions, wardrobe comments etc. that were directed to you when you were pregnant. She has just entered her second trimester and we cannot believe some of the things people will say to her. As an example...the latest is "A baby is like an alien, you know...it will kill the host if it has to." She heard this one because she is having a rather difficult time with her pregnancy (her first). We both laughed heartily over it since it was meant in the kindest of ways, but it started us thinking about all the things we (and others) have heard during our pregnancies. Most you just have to laugh at...others like some of the superstitions are just bizarre. If the list we have now is any indication, this compilation will make any pregnant woman laugh, regardless of how she is feeling, and will give any partner a reference tool so they can choose wisely before they speak.
